About

Born 12/04/2000 in Croydon, London I moved to Felixstowe in 2002 and Ipswich in 2008 before relocating to Methlick, Aberdeenshire in 2014. My love of the land comes from this everchanging environment from which I was living in, Felixstowe opened my eyes to the coast and will forever be my happy place, Ipswich gave me close access to Constable Country from which I could walk the trails of the master out with the confines of the large town, I was learning how to see as an artist from a young age but had little skill in execution or communication of this until the big move to Aberdeenshire. It was here it all set in, with the support and encouragement of my teachers I threw myself in to the creative arts and walked the routes near our rural house on the outskirts of the village daily.

Towards the end of my 6th year at Meldrum Academy I applied to every art school in Scotland and was rejected from them all, after a detour into other avenues a year later I applied to Northeast Scotland College to complete my HND in Art & Design. On completion of my first year HNC I was encouraged to apply back to Gray’s school of art, I was successful and entered into 2nd year of the Ba (Hons) Painting 2020. I completed 2nd year during the COVID pandemic and took a year out to work and expand my own artistic practice as I was not getting the experience, I felt I had worked for. It was the best decision I could have made. When I returned everything clicked into place and I have made great leaps with both my technical skill and concepts.

This effort and determination have been finally reflected in being awarded a 2.1 result alongside a very successful debut in the Gray’s Degree Show where I was the recipient of the Aberdeen Artists Society Membership Award. During the show I was approached by 2 separate galleries, one was to discuss a revolving position at the Braemar Gallery and the other, an invitation to exhibit at the Tatha Galleries January 2025 show. A final bonus was selling 22 of 28 paintings on show.
